Black Hill — Kalo Dungar

Highest Point in Kutch

Kalo Dungar (Black Hill)

Kalo Dungar, or Black Hill, is the highest point in the Kutch region, offering sweeping panoramic views over the Great Rann and, on a clear day, glimpses toward the India-Pakistan border. It's one of the most popular short trips from Hodka.

At the summit sits the Dattatreya Temple, and nearby is a well-known "magnetic point" where the road appears to defy gravity. Sunset from Kalo Dungar over the white salt flats is one of the finest views in Kutch.
